John Scrivner President Mt. Vernon. Net, Inc.

 

John has a diverse background in communications and data. Experience includes 10 years in the cable television industry and 8 years in data communications. Mt. Vernon. Net, Inc. began operations in Mt. Vernon, IL. as a small dialup ISP in May of 1997 and has since grown to 10
employees and over 3000 customers in 3 counties. The company serves this rural area of Southern Illinois with dialup, leased line, hosting, Intranet, VPN, consulting and of course wireless services. John has most recently become active in the WCA/LEA and Part 15 organizations to help promote his business and to improve the wireless industry with anything he can do to help. Recent accomplishments and projects include speaking about RUS funding opportunities on Jan. 12, 2003 at the WCA Technical Symposium and founding project coordinator of the Part 15 hotspot program along with Matt Larsen at WISPCON III II. John works regularly to  help spread the word to people and organizations about the importance of membership and participation in the PART-15.ORG and WCA/LEA associations.
