globe, not to just a particular companies bottom line. The Awards support
"frontier" technology. Recipients are visionaries who see the future,
create the future and develop the future to ensure the WISP industry grows and
prospers.
PART-15.ORG's
WISP
Industry Awards
winners
are nominated by their peers and selected by a distinguished panel of high
technology and advanced Wireless Internet professionals from across the globe. Because
the PART-15.ORG Awards program is new and we desire to encourage participation,
we have elected to include in the first semi-annual election ALL individuals and
companies. Under normal circumstances, the winning recipients must be members of
PART-15.ORG.
There
are six award categories:
In
addition to receiving an elegantly laser-etched wall plaque, the PART-15.ORG's WISP
Industry Award winners
receive regional and national media exposure in the U.S. and abroad to increase
their profile within the WISP industry, business and government sectors.
Wireless
Internet Service Provider of the Year - In
this category, nominees have pioneered innovative uses of wireless technology
related to the development of Wireless Broadband, or have adapted existing
products or applications in an exceptionally creative manner. Nominees are
individuals or WISPs who have helped to improve wireless broadband access to and
use of advanced wireless internet applications. 
Wireless
Manufacturer of the Year - Nominees
in this category have demonstrated exceptional creativity and ingenuity in the
development of leading-edge technology; hardware, software, applications or
products that have or are expected to have a significant impact on the WISP
industry. Nominees are companies that are directly responsible for implementing
a product or application that achieves or sets internationally recognized
standards of excellence. 
Wireless
Reseller of the Year - The
recipient of this Award has made outstanding voluntary contribution of their
technical expertise, skill and time to impact the quality of WISP purchasing.
The contributions of the Reseller of the Year Award must have expanded the
opportunities for the WISP industry by community participation ________

Wireless
Consultant of the Year
The recipient of the Wireless Consultant of the Year Award is presented
to a individual or company who has made an extraordinary contribution by
designing or adapting Wireless internet technology, software or products in
order to facilitate wireless access to residents and businesses regardless of
location. 
Wireless
Advocate of the Year
These
nominees are the promoters of the development of the WISP industry's information
and advanced Wireless industry. The Award recipient must demonstrate outstanding
leadership with respect to public good, interest and service. 
PART-15.ORG's
Presidents Choice Award
Not necessarily awarded each election, the President's Choice
Award will be presented when an individual's achievement does not necessarily
fit in any one category, or the recipient has made an outstanding or long-term
contribution to the development and understanding of the WISP industry.
