Strategies and Practices that Work - Being
a profitable WISP is about finding the right opportunities and
serving them early. Today, there are several untapped markets
that only
Broadband Wireless Access technology can address. To be effective
in doing so, there are questions that need to be answered. What
segments did you choose to target? What’s your value
proposition? What have you decided is the most efficient
communication vehicle to your targets? This session will explore
the answers to these questions as well as prompt you to think
creatively about marketing campaigns to reach
your prospective customers.

Vaulting the Cops, Creating Legal Compliance Strategies That
Work - You want to
comply with the law, and be a good corporate citizen. However,
you need to focus on your business - and not on bizarre laws and
regulations. Stepped up regulatory enforcement, and local and
national laws dealing with terrorism, privacy, security and
e-mail, receive star treatment on the front pages of newspapers.
This session presents a case study in which a highly successful
ISP used pre-packaged legal tool kits to create new and
effective compliance strategies that moved their business
forward and did not sit on the shelf gathering dust.
Participants in this session will receive real-world advice
about effective strategies to deal with laws and regulations
addressing terrorism, privacy, security, e0mail and intellectual
property which should put both their investors and lawyers at
ease.

Technical - E911/CALEA
for the Home Brew VoIP Providers
- This
presentation will discuss the increasing regulatory mandates the
FCC has recently proposed for providers of VoIP services. VoIP
providers must develop E911 capabilities by the end of November,
and in the meantime, get 911 acknowledgements from their
customers. And the FCC wants a backdoor into your broadband and
VoIP for CALEA. Still think your services are unregulated? Guess
again.

VoIP Reseller Program Highlights - Many
WISPs have tried to go directly to the VoIP companies to find
that you will need to sell hundreds and hundreds of subscribers
to 'meet your quota' in order to be a VoIP Solution Reseller
with them. With P15's VoIP partnership with Nuvio, the quota is
now on P15 and not the individual resellers. This session
provides general information about how the program works, how to
get paid, and marketing tips and tricks. The advantages and
disadvantages of P15's VoIP Reseller Program, what equipment is
needed, how to obtain the equipment. - Speaker:
Lynn Kline, Vice Chairman,
PART-15.ORG, Brandon Fur, Nuvio
Technical - Don't
Try This at Home - This
session addresses many of the typical mistakes most WISPs make.
Things that work and don't work "in the real world".
Problems and solutions will be covered. These three stooges have
more going for them than just the infamous Limo-Ride. Like every
single one of us WISPs, we've all made mistakes and some of
those were costly ones. This panel will concentrate on mistakes
most WISPs make and the solutions found to fix them .
