Keynote Address:  - 8am to 9am:  Mr. Julie Knapp, of the FCC's Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) will provide an overview on the FCC's current issues, rule changes, new spectrum, and other advancements pertaining to the License Exempt Wireless Internet Service Provider.

WISP 101 - Radio Fundamentals - Overview of all the License-Free Radio Bands, definitions of terms used in radios (dB, EIRP, etc), types of radios, summary of relevant IEEE 802.1 standards, overview of Wireless Internet Systems and 2.4GHz WiPOP systems. Speaker:  - Neal Midgley, Tranzeo

 

Technical - Practical Infrastructure Design - Analysis of potential WiPOP sites for determination of best coverage offerings for customer requirements. The "Infamous" Steak Dinner - For those of you unaware - this is the ultimate steak dinner outing. If you enjoy a good steak - You'll love place we've picked out. Please make sure you sign up for the outing to ensure we make appropriate reservations for everyone. To sign up, there will be a roster at the registration booth and also at the message center board.

 

The entire group will get together at 6:30pm at the main WISPCON Registration Booth and assign transportation at that time. Those of you that have vehicles, please volunteer at that time to help those who don't have transportation.  We've managed to not leave anyone behind so far....
