Biography
Charles Brown - Vice President, Sales and Marketing, WaveRider
Charles Brown joined WaveRider Communications Inc. in February of 1998 as the firm's Vice President of Marketing. In this role Charles is responsible for the development and execution of WaveRider's overall marketing and product strategy.
Mr. Brown brings to this position over 18 years experience in the telecommunications and cable communications industries. Prior to joining WaveRider, Mr. Brown was the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Clearnet Communications, a PCS and ESMR service provider, where he was responsible for all aspects of this startup company's information systems. Prior to Clearnet, he was responsible for the sales and marketing activities of Trillium Communications, a cable and competitive access provider, as their Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Prior to joining Trillium, Mr. Brown held a variety of director level marketing and business development positions with BCE Mobile and Bell Mobility.
Prior to Bell Mobility, Brown worked for several other telecommunications firms including Mitel, Telesat Canada, CTG and Bell Canada. Charles obtained a BA from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
