Real
attorneys will be used to defend claims of interference between two
WISPs. A judge (or panel) will hear both sides of the case and make a
ruling based on the evidence presented. The Federal and civil laws
have yet to be challenged with this new industry and it's associated
problems of using License Exempt Spectrum.
The
Moot Court will take place in the Flagship Room from 8:00am to noon.

Technology Seminar
Alvarion,
Inc is pleased to present a One Day seminar on Orthogonal Frequency
Division Multiplexing (OFDM) Technology.
This seminar will comprise an overview of OFDM and a
look at FCC regulations governing the use of the Unlicensed 5.8 GHZ ISM
frequency band. An in depth look into the technical aspects of
OFDM technology will be presented, as well as an overview all
Alvarion OFDM products, their technical specifications, implementation,
and configuration.

WaveRider:
- WaveRider
is hosting a one-day Non-Line-of-Sight service deployment workshop on
its 900 MHz equipment at WISPCON
IV, one of the leading WISP industry events, on Sunday, October
26, 2003.
The
session will provide an overview of WaveRider's Last Mile Solution® non-line-of-sight
products, as well as network design and service deployment. The session
is designed to be a hands-on opportunity for WISPs to experience
WaveRider's NLOS products, and learn how to reach more subscribers using
900 MHz products.
Workshop
topics will include: NLOS

of the 900 MHz band, LMS4000
System Overview - Network Design - LMS4000
System Installation. Configuring
WaveRider's End-User Modems (participants are encouraged to

- This half day training will concentrate on deploying the various

performance, carrier-class, Wide-Area Wireless Networking products.
These easy to use equipment allows for the fast deployment, provisioning
and maintenance of the WISP networks. In this seminar we will
demonstrate how to apply and configure our equipment for the various
network applications including WISP, MTU/MDU, RV Parks, Backhaul
connectivity and the HotSpot operators.
