Jo Ellen Andrew Co-Founder and Managing Executive Director JA&K Marketing

 

Company co-founder and Managing Executive Director, Jo Ellen Andrew brings to JA&K an innovative brand of marketing know-how that only comes from 23 years creating successful marketing, business and product strategies for companies ranging from start-ups, IPO successes and  Fortune 500 companies. Andrew drives JA&K’s clients’ strategic marketing, business development, and product management activities, working with those clients to create national branding strategies, evaluate market opportunities and winning marketing programs.  She is also an integral part of the JA&K senior creative team which develops clients’ advertising campaigns,  media strategies and creative concepts for such events as tradeshows, product launches and corporate road shows.

 

Andrew’s success stories include marketing for e-xpedient^SM , a provider of 100 Mbps Internet service, where she served in-house as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and was a co-founder of the company. Not only was the company a pioneer in Internet Service Providers, delivering never-before-reached speeds,  under her leadership, the company achieved industry marketing records with in-market revenues of $3,000 per building. Andrew also created from inception the overall sales and marketing strategy for broadband wireless telecommunications newcomer Triton Network Systems. Her marketing efforts remained in place from the company’s start-up days through a $1.3 billion public valuation for the company at the time of initial public offering.    

 

Andrew’s career portfolio includes such heavy-hitters as AT&T Local Services (formerly Teleport Communications Group) and Nortel (formerly Northern Telecom). While with the latter, she managed the development of and brought to market the Meridian Mail voice mail system product line, strengthening the company’s market position by capturing a significant market share.    

 

Andrew pursued her Bachelor of Business Administration at Dallas Baptist University, receiving honors from the Texas Chapter Alpha Chi scholastic honor society, the Alpha Sigma Lambda scholastic honor society and the Mu Kappa Tau marketing honor society. She also co-invented and jointly holds the patent for, a telecommunications device for the cellular market.
