Dr. Arthur W. Wang  Proxim Corporation

 

Dr. Arthur W. Wang joined WirelessHome (later merged into WESTERN Multiplex and then Proxim) in 200 and has been leading the system integration and test department for a PMP system operating at 5.8GHz. He has 10+ years of system engineering experience with Tatung, LinCom, Hughs Communications, and Proxim. Prior to Proxim, he was a senior manager at HCI responsible for broadband satellite system architecture.

 

He has been contributing actively in FCC/ITU 4A, 10-11S, JTG 4-9-11, and now IEEE 802.16 standard meeting as a member. In research areas of advance DSP algorithms and broadband communications. He has published more than 20 conference or journal papers and 6 patent applications, and received two awarded patents. He received his Ph.D degree in Communications from the EE Department of UCLA in 1996.
